A New ‘Wicked’ Trailer Just Dropped and People Can’t Stop Pointing This Out

Why does Jonathan Bailey always look so good?

If you were not excited about the movie adaptation of Wicked by director John M. Chu, that is about to change. The latest Wicked trailer from Universal Pictures has just been released, and it’s clear that this film is quickly becoming the most anticipated release of the year.

The vocals from Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande alone are breathtaking!

The heart of the trailer introduces us to the iconic duo: Elphaba, played by Cynthia Erivo, and Glinda, portrayed by Ariana Grande. As we catch scenes at Shiz University, Ariana Grande enchants us with “Popular,” giving Elphaba a magical makeover. Meanwhile, Cynthia Erivo takes on “Defying Gravity,” the breathtaking anthem of Wicked, sending chills down our spines. The cast doesn’t stop there—Jeff Goldblum appears as the formidable Wizard of Oz, and other talents like Bowen Yang, Ethan Slater, and Peter Dinklage make their mark, truly bringing Oz to life.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were meant to be Glinda and Elphaba, the way the new Wicked trailer perfectly captures the bond of these characters that are torn apart and brought together because of their differences pic.twitter.com/83T1cMjCpa
